06 Nov Voting now open for the prestigious Active Essex Sports Awards
The Active Essex Sports Awards, an annual event that celebrates the outstanding achievements of sporting organisations and individuals in the county, has officially opened the eagerly awaited voting for the Sports Personality of the Year, Disabled Sports Personality of the Year and Unsung Hero award.
People across Essex can vote for the sportspeople they feel deserve to be recognised for incredible achievements across sports and physical activity.
The Sports Personality and Disabled Sports Personality of the Year awards both recognise an individual who has made an incredible impact at a national or international level, either individually or as part of a team.
Votes for all three categories can be cast at https://www.activeessex.org/sports-awards-2017-public-vote/ and voting closes on Sunday 19th November.
The winner will be announced at a glittering ceremony at Chelmsford City Racecourse on Tuesday 5th December amongst winners of ten other categories including Community Club of the Year, Services to Disability Sport and Coach of the Year.
