24 Feb TV star Ant Middleton helps charity raise nearly £7,000

TV tough guy Ant Middleton helped raise nearly £7,000 for Haven House Children’s Hospice this week by taking part in a Q&A at Sir James Hawkey Hall in Woodford Green.

The event on Wednesday evening saw 170 people travel from near and far to hear Ant talk about his incredible Special Forces career along with his involvement as chief instructor on SAS: Who Dares Wins and brand new Channel 4 show, Mutiny.

Time 107.5 FM presenter Jessie Brooke posed the questions to Ant and guests had the opportunity to ask their own questions at the end.

The evening included a raffle and a bespoke auction of SAS-related prizes including books and DVDs signed by Ant, along with a framed photo of the man himself.

Several series 2 recruits of SAS: Who Dares Wins were among the guests including last year’s winner, Moses Adeyemi from Barkingside, who donated a 60 minute personal training session as an auction prize.

The top prize, a BREAK-POINT Special Forces experience, went for an incredible £600.
Along with talking at length on stage, Ant spent time mingling with guests and posing for photographs. He also met Jessica Wilson, 17, from Chingford, who uses Haven House and her parents, Cathy and Brian.

Ant Middleton said: “I’m very proud to help raise funds for Haven House. It’s such an important charity and provides vital support to children and their families in the local area.

“It was fantastic to see so many people coming from across the country to take part in the event and I was delighted to meet Jessica.”
