19 Oct Three new Wickford Market kiosks available
Three new kiosks are available to let in Market Lane, Wickford. They are in addition to the existing kiosks occupied by local businesses, Watson Wigs and Gem’s Tasty Cakes.
Cllr Tony Hedley, Chairman of Basildon Council’s Regeneration Committee, said: “We are committed to creating vibrant town centres where businesses want to be based. It is important that we do all we can to help the economy thrive and support businesses to grow. Our Wickford Market kiosks provide traders with the opportunity to start or build on their new business at a much reduced cost compared to opening a traditional shop unit.”
As part of the regeneration of Wickford the market has been moved into Market Lane and the High Street, with improvements carried out to the street scene, several shopfronts and Wickford Swim and Fitness Centre. A new £2million state-of-the-art health facility was officially unveiled in July 2017.
