04 Jul Thought provoking “Essex Women” exhibition kick starts in Southend
Part of the Snapping the Stiletto project, this thought-provoking exhibition opens this weekend for a three month run in Southend. It explores how Essex women’s lives have changed in the century since gaining the vote, celebrating inspirational local stories.
The exhibition will then go on to be displayed in Chelmsford and Colchester, with details on the Snapping the Stiletto website.
The project is continuing to conduct research into the lives of Essex women and is also recruiting volunteers to create and update Wikipedia articles about Essex women from the last 100 years.
