11 Jun Social entrepreneur Adam Bradford calls for unity and applauds young voters

by Dan Bryans

After 72% of young people voted in the General Election, 24-year-old Adam Bradford from South London has called on our major party leaders to not let his generation down.

Last week’s general election which led to a hung parliament will now see Prime Minister Theresa May form a government with assistance from Northern Ireland party DUP.

Social entrepreneur and Queen’s Young Leader Bradford last week penned a public letter to the leaders of the Conservative and Labour parties, calling for unity and proper representation in any negotiations.

In the letter He said: “I could not be more proud today, however a hung parliament brings me feelings of worry. Represent us, your constituents. We need the best deal for Britain. Now we need your leadership more than ever.

“Our young people’s futures depend on stable, forward-thinking political action right now. This is your chance to prove that our votes mattered and that our democracy is worth having. We are now a nation undecided, perhaps even divided.”

Bradford who was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, a form of autism, at the age of 11. Overcame a vast amount of challenges to set up his own business and gained a place at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy in his teens, now being a renowned entrepreneur across the UK he has been applauded for penning the letter.
