24 Nov Pharmacists appeal for Essex groups who want to learn about medicines
Practicing pharmacists across the region are looking for pre-existing local groups across the East so they can come along and talk about healthcare and getting the most out of your medicines.
Up to half of all patients do not take their medicines as recommended. At least 6% of emergency hospital readmissions are caused by avoidable adverse reactions to medicines.
‘Let’s Talk About Medicines’ sessions are funded by the Eastern Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) to help support patients, carers and members of the public to be confident that they are using prescriptions and drugs properly and effectively.
