Local garden centre raises £8,400 for charity through 13,000 ft Skydive

23 May Local garden centre raises £8,400 for charity through 13,000 ft Skydive

On Saturday 12 May, seven team members from Perrywood Garden Centre took on the challenge of a lifetime by taking part in a charity skydive in Beccles, Suffolk. The team raised an incredible £4,216.51 from the jump alone and this figure is being matched by Perrywood, bringing the total amount raised for Mid and North East Essex Mind to over £8,400.

The daring team members who took part in the daunting skydive were Arif Khan, Tanya Gates, Catherine Nuckley, Holly Gibbs, Sally Carter, Selina Hammond and Kim Dekker. The skydive involved a tandem parachute jump from an astounding 13,000 ft in the air.

Health and happiness is a key theme for Perrywood this year and there are many things the centre is doing to highlight this and give back to the community – including its support for Mid and North East Essex Mind. The skydive combined with Perrywood’s other fundraising efforts are just a couple of examples of how the company is going above and beyond to support its chosen charity throughout 2018.
