Thousands of people flocked to Trafalgar Square to join in with London’s Diwali celebrations MEANWHILE our Essex TV reporter Kiran Rai jumped from Trafalgar square to the London Eye boat party which had stars including Gurinder Chadha, Meera Syal, India high commissioner and Magic Singh who managed to have exclusive dinner with the Magician and him to perform tricks for our Essex TV reporter.
Mayor Sadiq Khan joined crowds of all faithers as Londoners celebrated the 15th year of Diwali at Trafalgar Square today.
The festival of light attracted a huge crowd, with dancers, singing and live entertainment throughout the day.
The ancient festival marks the victory of light over dark and good over evil.
Diwali represents Hindu new Year but is also observed by Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists across the world.
Rai will be covering the England V Brazil next month at wembley.
