K 9 Angels Have Named Their Third Angel Big Brother Winner Jason Burrill – And he is in Love… with a dog he rescued called Alfie… and Alfie needs a home….

Since winning this summer’s Big Brother, Jason Burrill has been a very busy man.

Apart filming a new Hollywood action film that will see him appear on screen with Julia Roberts brother Eric, Jason, 45, is now supporting the UK charity the K-9 Angels.

Between filming the movie The Dark Return of Time which is currently filming in Paris and soon to film in Russia and USA Jason flew to Romania with the K-9 Angels working on the front line of their dog rescue mission.

“I really wanted to rescue dogs myself, but with so many commitments in America coming up I realised my time would be much more valuable to the charity in trying to raise awareness for their programme”

The charity was founded by the glamorous trio; pop singer Pola Pospieszalska, model Victoria Eisermann and presenter Anneka Tanaka (Anneka left the charity 2 years ago).

“There’s one dog I fell in love with, his name is Alfie and I really need to find him a home he’s been playing on my mind ever since seeing him in the Romanian dog pound, we’ve moved him to the K9 Angels small private shelter but I really want to find him a loving home since the shelter is already full of dogs that the K-9 Angels help.”

Jason met the remaining founders Victoria Eisermann and Pola Pospieszalska at Pup-Aid and was really impressed with the rescue work they do.

Since setting the charity up just 5 years ago the girls and a small team of dedicated volunteers have built a dog rescue shelter, re homed over 800 dogs, spayed and neutered over 3,000 dogs and started a UK school tour to educate children about responsible pet care as well as raising £100,000’s to save homeless dogs.

“A young lady told us that she had found a box of puppies in a bin, I didn’t think situations like that really happened, but when we got there we saw three puppies around 2 weeks old each in a cardboard box. They had just been left to die in the street.”

“Your emotions are really varied, you go from being shocked at seeing the situation first hand, to feeling sad for the puppies looking so helpless, then anger towards the person who has done this to them.”

Victoria and Pola are delighted with the support of their Third Angel Jason.

“Jason helped us a great deal while we were away and as a genuine dog lover who wants to help animals we are thrilled to have his support. He is a really super guy so it’s no surprise that he won Big Brother too.”

K-9 Angels has an impressive celebrity following. Simon Cowell gave them a huge shout out on Britain’s Got Talent as Ashley and Pudsey won and Ricky Gervais helped them fundraise £33,000 by just one retweet for the charity.

“Seeing a dogs testicles being removed made me wince, but the castration and neutering programme the charity offer really does make a huge difference to stray animals, as one un-neutered female dog and her offspring with their offspring’s off spring can produce up to 67,000 puppies within 10 Years.”

“I’ve never seen anything like it in my life, the K9 angels is such a small charity doing a massive job and I really want to help them in anyway I can”.
