Jools Holland and James Morrison to perform at local Live At Down Hall event

09 May Jools Holland and James Morrison to perform at local Live At Down Hall event

Imagine some of the best names in music performing in one place. All without the mud, questionable bathroom facilities, leaky tents, and traffic usually associated with a typical open-air concert.

This summer, for one weekend only on 15th and 16th June, Down Hall Hotel & Spa brings you two world class summer concerts – LIVE AT DOWN HALL. Set within 110 acres of beautiful gardens and woodland on the Hertfordshire/Essex border, Down Hall’s stunning grounds will be transformed into the ultimate concert space and, with luxurious bedrooms, room service on tap, indulgent ESPA treatments, fantastic British food and drink, LIVE AT DOWN HALL is a class act.

Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra will be the first to perform on the LIVE AT DOWNHALL stage on Saturday 15th June with special guests including famed English drummer Gilson Lavis and boogie woogie queens Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall. The following evening sees Brit award-winning singer/songwriter James Morrison, best-known for his songs You Give Me Something and Broken Strings.

On site, discover a bar dispensing the likes of Champagne Devaux, Aviation Gin and Pimm’s, alongside ice cold beers on tap. Sustenance comes in the form of street food with an upmarket touch courtesy of Down Hall’s kitchen brigade with artisan pizzas, a US-style barbecue and Mexican burritos. Add to this, afternoon teas, served in the hotel’s beautiful grounds, offering a quintessentially British experience and the culinary bar has certainly been raised. Look out for sweet treats from Down Hall’s local partners with Gü Puds from Bishop’s Stortford and the award-winning Rossi Ice Cream, created by the father of music legend, Francis Rossi. There to keep concert-goers feeling and looking good is the Eden Spa Therapy Tent, providing express treatments throughout the weekend.
