27 Jul Essex Police officers to cycle 280 miles in charity ride

Four Essex Police officers will be cycling around 280 miles to raise money to support the families of police officers who have died in the line of duty.

Deputy Chief Constable BJ Harrington, PC Chris Busby, PC Brett Daniels and PC Steve Martin are joining riders from across the country for the Police Unity Tour, in aid of the charity Care of Police Survivors. (PC Daniels, PC Busby and DCC Harrington are pictured left).

Inspector Emma Brookes assisted in organising the Essex contingent’s involvement in the cycle ride.

They set off today, Thursday, July 26 and will cycle to the National Police Arboretum in Burton-Upon-Trent, Staffordshire.
