Essex Libraries To Give Local Kids A Voice

08 Feb Essex Libraries To Give Local Kids A Voice

Between 13 and 26 February, library staff countywide will be asking their youngest customers exactly what they think of services in Essex and how they can be improved.

Cllr Anne Brown, Essex County Council Cabinet Member responsible for libraries, said: “Our libraries are much more than just places to find and read books. They are at the heart of our communities and host all manner of clubs and activities, from rhyme time and toddler sessions, through to clubs specifically for dads and their children.

“We hope these surveys will help us learn exactly what children and young people think about Essex libraries, so that we can continue to improve the services we offer.”

Parents or carers will be asked to answer on behalf of pre-school and Key Stage 1 aged children, revealing how they use the libraries and how satisfied they are with the service.

Children in school years 3, 4, 5 and 6 and those in secondary school will have their own individual short survey to complete.
