Essex based Fairfields Farm Sign Deal With Costa Coffee in China

10 Sep Essex based Fairfields Farm Sign Deal With Costa Coffee in China

Artisan snack producer, Fairfields Farm, is celebrating a new deal to supply Costa Coffee outlets throughout China.

The Essex-based manufacturer, which is renowned for its hand-cooked crisps made from its home-grown potatoes, has already shipped three containers of its crisps out to China, destined for Shanghai and Beijing.

Two flavours will be heading to Costa Coffee in China: Lightly Sea Salted and Sea Salt & Black Pepper; representing a deal which is not only huge in volume, but also in its potential to reach millions of customers across China.

“British-made produce is incredibly popular in China and this deal with Costa Coffee is a fantastic opportunity for us to reach a whole new range of consumers,” comments Robert Strathern, co-founder of Fairfields Farm.

There are currently 440 Costa Coffee shops across China, with 1200 stores planned by 2022 so a contract like this is huge for the family run firm and has fantastic growth potential.

“Export is becoming a big part of our growth plan,” continues Robert. “We want people from all over the world to be enjoying our hand-cooked crisps and this deal with Costa Coffee in China is a fantastic step towards that.”
