Braxted Park, a Grade II* park of “exceptional significance” will be opening its gardens for the National Gardens Scheme on Monday 12th June.

Joe Swift, well known charismatic BBC Gardener’s World presenter and designer of the third Horatio’s Garden at Stoke Mandeville, will be giving a talk on ‘Designing a Chelsea Gold Garden’.

Joe will share secrets from behind the scenes at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Joe will also be available to answer questions and speaking about his work to create the high-profile Horatio’s Garden, for patients at the National Spinal Injuries Centre in Stoke Mandeville, due to open later this year.


Guests can meander around the parkland’s ponds, lakes and walled gardens and experience the results of the 10-year Parkland Restoration.

Tickets for Joe Swift’s talk at 2pm are still available at only £10 and need to be purchased in advance.
