05 Mar Braintree Volunteer Police Cadets Recognised For Hardwork
Volunteer Police Cadets were recognised for their hard work and commitment to Essex Police during a dedicated ceremony.
12 Volunteer Police Cadets (VPC) proudly ‘passed out’ at a special ceremony last week and became Braintree and Uttlesford’s first VPC intake.
Taking their cadet oath in front of friends and family, the cadets were welcomed into Essex Police by Deputy Chief Constable Matthew Horne and Braintree’s District Commander, Craig Carrington.
After pledging their commitment to serve and protect the residents of Essex, they are now able to be deployed and involved in police operations around Essex.
Cadet Leader Neil Dibell said: “I am incredibly proud of our first intake of Cadets passing out. Over the last few weeks they have all come a long way and to see their hard work recognised tonight is a special feeling.
“This is not the end of their journey with the Essex Police family and we now look forward to providing them the opportunities to develop their skills further and make a positive contribution to the community we live in.”
